| Center for People with Disabilities 500,000 sq.ft. Zagreb,Croatia |

|||||
| The Center for people with disabilities consists of a collection of four main programs: work rehabilitation, manufacturing, sport, and assisted living, as well as a restaurant and a shop. Our solution places these different programs around an open square. The square gives identity to the Center because of its clear spatial organization. It allows for each of its programs to be visible from the adjacent major street, thus giving them a public face. Most importantly the square is a space for interactions and events. Further, we add four small programs: an alternative gallery, an experimental theater, a coffee shop and a screen for an open air cinema. These additional programs of general public interest are there to enhance the use of the new urban square. Our aim is to integrate the Center for rehabilitation with the rest of the city socially and spatially. |
